'Tiquing Again

During our trip to Burlington, we stopped at several very interesting antique shops along the way. From the looks of the back of the van, we are ready for anything, and added a few 'treasures' too! Okay family, did you notice the Bond Street Pipe Tobacco can in the corner?

On the other side of Lake Champlain, while exploring the Adirondacks, we came across a couple of other really eclectic antique shops just outside of Essex. The first place was run by a man and his brother. They were characters that should have been featured on the show American Pickers. Yep, they had everything including the kitchen sink and a bathtub.

We could have spent hours (and lots of money!) there, but just came home with a small milk can and a few items to contemplate buying later.

The second place we stopped at had 3 different metal barns filled with vintage and antique furniture, clocks, glassware and so many "Dave, look at THIS" items. The only thing we couldn't live without was a glass Liberty Bell bank, with only a slot to put in your change, but nowhere to take it out...unless you really work on that slot. What a great way to save and not spend! Definitely something we need. Too bad there's no money in it yet!
