Wondering Why

It's always a bit of an unnerving sight when the Bahamas Defense Force motors in to the harbor. They rarely do, but there have also been immigration issues that the government has been cracking down on.

They were at the dock for several hours. Then we heard that they may possibly have been here for the Hope Town Heritage Day celebration.

I'm not too sure what the BDF has to do with the heritage part, but if that's the case, why not? In fact we also saw a U.S. Coast Guard helicopter fly low over our apartment, the lighthouse, and the settlement at the same time as the BDF arrived, so maybe it was all just a part of the day's activities. Then again it might all have been a coincidence.
