What a spectacular morning to go kayaking near Hewlitt's Landing on Lake George!
The Lake was calm and it seemed like we could view from one end to the other.
Looking north, we could see past Roger's Rock on the west side of the lake.
Looking south we could see past both Black Mountain on the east side, and the Tongue Mountain Range on the west side.
We came across this sunken tin boat that I could tell Dave was trying to figure out how to raise.
We have always admired this Sea Pearl cat-ketch sailboat that is moored near the launch ramp in the Washington County Park, where we launch the kayak. We used to own one like this, when we lived in the Florida Keys. We miss it, since it was so easy to sail and we received many compliments as we sailed along. Ironically, this one's name is Exuma, which is a chain of islands in the lower Bahamas.
The best part of this lake, as always, is the pristine water and dynamic mountain views.
It's great to be back!
