Then I hopped in the seat of the tractor and moved them to another pile.
Thumbs up for getting two at a time!
OOPS! I guess the fuel gauge doesn't work properly. It was still on 1/4 and the New Holland died. Then I found out it has been on 1/4 tank all summer long. A little fuel goes a long way with this machine, but not THAT far. Some diesel in its tank and bleeding of the system, and we're back in business.
The pile increases, as does the wind and cold. Fall has arrived.
Dave ogles the scary looking electrical hookup from long ago.
Then it was time to "bring out the big guns." Hercules sprang to life and was up to the challenge of pulling down the shed. Dave hooked up chains and started pulling.
Very slowly it just kept leaning over until it hit the ground.
Going...
Going...
Gone!
It was quite a job removing all the old rusty metal roof and plastic sheeting under it, but much easier since it was on the ground. Everything is now cleared away, and the new shed area has been staked out. These are the girders/rafters that we will be using for the new building.
I'll keep you posted as this long term project progresses.
