Relativity

We had a fantastic Labor Day weekend with my sister Sue and brother-in-law Len, up in Ticonderoga. The weather was predicted to be iffy with some rain and fog, but we beat the odds and even got to go Sashaying on Schroon River.

Goofing off for the photographer at the dock.

Sue and Len (and I) relaxed while Captain Dave took us "up a lazy river."

End of the line where there is a dam.

After dinner we took a walk on the new Champlain Bridge to watch the sunset. Dave contemplates the long walk to the apex of the bridge.

Sue is in NY and I am in Vermont as the sun sets into the clouds behind mountains.

Ridin' along in the backseat of the PT Cruiser Convertible with the top down, enjoying the breeze, view, and company!

Mt. Defiance's view was a hazy one on Labor Day. You can tell I don't like heights...

We ended up at the Ticonderoga Visitors Center Museum which told all about the history of the paper mill and graphite mining days. Dave and Sue hold a large replica of the famous Ticonderoga pencils we all used in school.

The weekend was so much fun that we are going to try and get together again this fall and visit the Shelburne Museum. I'll be sure to post more photos, especially since none of us have been there in a long time.
