First Yak

It was a spectacular afternoon on the lake yesterday. Hardly a ripple or boat wake rocked us in the kayaks. Turtles were everywhere, including on one of the leaning hazard markers (Dave lost count after 45 when he was out on the Sea Doo the other day, as he passed by a favorite turtle island hang out). I even got up close to a muskrat by the launch ramp. Unfortunately I didn't have my camera. Since we were on Lake George, the water was so clear that it was like snorkeling, and we saw all sorts of large bass brave enough to be out in the open before all the fisherman harass them. We love the beginning and end of the season when the lake seems to be there just for us. Plus the Mossy Point boat ramp is only a mile away!
