We are off to a good start to the new year! After hearing fireworks through 2 AM, we woke to a calm and foggy day. As the fog lifted, we took the kayaks down to Sewell's Point Park and paddled south along the shore and past the Bird Island Preserve. There weren't too many birds there yet, as it isn't quite nesting season, but what a fantastic way to welcome 2023 with total calm and quiet.
It sure will be hard to beat this, but we certainly will try. 😉😎
