The Annual Weekend Events

Every year, on the weekend following Labor Day, we have three different events to attend. The first is Friday night at the Adirondack Nationals in Lake George Village. This year we met up with Florida friends Scott and Annmarie and the streets, cars, and spectators were wild (especially since rain was predicted for Saturday)! On our way to the Village we saw burnouts on the road as far as Bolton Landing. It was a fun night walking through the show's cars and then watching as they paraded up down the main street after dark.

Saturday morning we beat the rain by going early to the Tugboat Roundup in Waterford, at the convergence of the Erie and Champlain Canals. The boat of the year was the NY Canal System's first new tug in 90 years, the Thomas X. Grasso.

Unfortunately for Dave and friends, Sunday at Rice-o-rama in Spencer, MA was a very rainy day and he didn't take any photos. They still made the most of it though and had a good time with umbrellas in hand.

That's all our shows for a couple of weeks until the Ballston Spa Truck Show and Schoon Lake Antique Outboard Wet Meet later this month. Hopefully the weather will be nice for photo opportunities!
