RIP New Horizon Treehouse

The damage on our apartment was worse than we thought. The roof over the back half of the apartment is gone, exposing the inside to the elements. The sailboat's mast is through the roof. Perhaps that is what compromised it. The front door was also blown out, probably from the wind howling through the hole in the roof and through the apartment. Laying on the side of the building is part of the laundry room entrance which was part of the foundation under the two apartments. We do not know about any of our possessions, except the blue on the porch is probably one of our kayaks.

We also heard that most of the boats in the marina/boatyard were damaged, but do not know more than this. Many of our friends have lost their homes, some of which were their only homes. This is a sad time for everyone.
