Slow Poke

Dave's Sunfish racing hasn't been going very well this year. He seems to get good starts, but then falls back further and further. He is consistent though, earning 7th place in the last two regattas. He looks good though!

A week ago the race committee was short two people and I volunteered to help score the Sunfish finishes. Gee, Dave should have won then! 😉 At least at the start of each race, the committee let me take photos for the club's website. Then one of the spectators took photos of the committee boat. That's me with the flowered shirt in the back taking pictures.

It was actually a beautiful day on the water. Di's Gemini catamaran named Caesar's Ghost (after her dearly departed black lab) is a nice stable vessel to be on. She even serves Bloody Mary's! I don't think I mentioned that she's 86 years young and brings her boat down and back from Cape Cod to Hope Town every year, with help from family and friends as crew on each leg of the journey. She is amazing and wow, does she ever know her boats and racing!
