Sailing 101

Dave has been teaching our friends Kerstin & Kenny how to sail. They have their own little daysailer at home that they would love to get out on the water, as soon as they feel a bit more comfortable with sailing basics. We took our Bauer 12, Ruby, to Port Henry where the wind was perfect for their second lesson.

Since Ruby is only 12 ft. in length, I was going to go out in my kayak instead, but ended up watching the fishing tournament weigh in, which was interesting...wow, there were some big fish! After the sailing crew returned to the launch ramp, we headed over to Schroon Lake for dinner and a sunset walk around town.

The perfect ending to a fun day with great friends.
