First Cruise-In

The first Guptill's Classic Car Show of the season was held on Monday evening, and it was filled to capacity with cars and spectators. I'm sure everyone had cabin fever after the long winter. The first three out of 4 shows only allow cars to be displayed that are 25 years or older. The scary thing about that is that next year that could include Gulliver and the following year it could include our GMC Safari van!

Four of us went together in three very diverse cars...Dave and I in our KEWL 39 Plymouth, Jim in his Alfa Romeo, and Bill in his wife Lynette's 1978 Corvette.

Our motley crew at the show...

Fins are in!

I always enjoy seeing this Ford Retractable stopped mid-way. We sure are glad that our PT Cruiser and Thunderbird aren't this complicated to put the tops down.

This Mini Cooper had a surprise under the hood...a Cadillac Engine!

Highway Patrol Car which had to been from the 50's.

This GMC truck was my favorite. It was very classy inside and out, with another surprise under the hood, which said it all...Nitrous Oxide!

Great way to take a selfie...

Chopped!

Pretty in Purple...

Motorcycles are not allowed in the show, but this truck owner had the perfect way to get around that rule. Carry your Vespa in the back.

Classic hood ornaments...

But ours is the best, of course!

What a great evening for cruisin' and lookin'!
